Ipod mini now having trouble playing certain files

I was reuniting myself with my Muse collection, only for it to chop up within the first 10 seconds of *Plug in baby*

It pauses, kinda attempts to play the file, brief sections of the song can be heard, but it will give up after about 5 seconds and skip track.

I have tried deleting the song out of itunes and resyncing it in, but same problem arises. The song used to play fine.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Just found that its several of the Muse tracks that are doing this, implying maybe a damaged HDD?

I havent dropped it before you ask
