Hi all,
I appreciate whoever can provide some help! Here's the problem: I recently tried to turn on my iPod (I have a 20gig 3Generation) and there was a folder with an exclamation point which, after checking the manual, means that I should be able to just update it and restore the factory settings, reload music and be set to go. However, when I connected it to my comp. through USB, the computer won't recognize it! I've never had a problem in terms of the computer not recognizing the iPod before so I assume it has SOMETHING to do with the software failure. I can't update it without the computer recognizing the iPod...(software updated for iPod doesn't recognize it/know that an iPod is plugged in either). Any suggestions? I'm a music addict and this is such a pain. I promise I will send homemade cookies to whoever can help, if you want them! Thanks very much. |

Hello Ler,
You probably are in need of a new hard drive. iPodMechanic.com, my company offers a free testing service and inexpensive replacement hard drives. Apple will want to charge you $250, but we only charge $160 for a new 20gb hard drive. Feel free to contact me personally if you need any free advice nicholas.woodhams@gmail.com or contact the company at info@ipodmechanic.com Regards |
