Exchanging iPod

I want to exchange my silver ipod mini for a larger one. Should I clear my library before returning it to where it was purchased?
Is an upgrade like this even possible? I purchased a warranty.

Good luck. If you've already used it, chances are you're not going to be able to exchange. There's nothing wrong with it, so they won't take it back.

If u bought the pod in the last week then it would be appropriate for them to do this. But if uve had it a while i doubt they would replace it even with the warrenty because they couldnt sell your pod as new anymore and so it would be worth less.

It sounds like you'll just have to stick with your mini, the shop won't except a used mni only because you changed your mind.

In the UK you can usually return a product within 14 days as long as you have the original packaging, receipt and it is in good condition.

Can someone find out a definitive answer to this? I'm curious about it as well, because I have the 4G 20g and wouldn't mind paying an extra 50 bucks for the 30g photo....

Damn you, Apple, for releasing that right after I got my 20g.
It's not a big deal, I love my iPod, but 50 bucks is a pretty small price to upgrade to photo capability PLUS an extra 10g. But I guess at least some space would be taken up by pictures and album art.

its worth a try, some stores are willing to do that, a local store called Futureshop allowed me to do that, I bought a stereo, and a couple months later I wanted a better model, I mentioned one time while browsing, and the salesmen said that if I still had the receipt, bring it back, and pay the difference, so I did.
