Unhappy unwanted pausing

my 60 ipod photo easily pauses when the headphones get twisted around. it happens usualy when i adjust the jack or it moves by it self when its in my pocket, etc. i know it pauses if u remove the phones but it shouldnt pause by itself when the jack isnt even coming out. and it happens when its on hold? and ideas? reformat?

ive had ipod for almost 1monthand half

thanks

This happens when the surround at the bottom of the headphone jack makes contact with the metal case of the iPod this causes a short and the iPod pauses.

If your having this issue as i did - get a tiny bit of clear sellotape and put it over the headphone socket on the iPod, then peirce a hole in it so that the jack can go in but the metal surround doesnt touch the case.

Problem solved.

Mina refers to "cello tape", short for cellophane tape. "Scotch Tape" is an American brand name. They're the same thing.
