Question I can hear it spinning but...that's it

My Ipod died as I was deleting/reformating songs on it. I can hear it spinning but I can get anything on the screen. All it shows is the apple logo. It won't turn off or charge up...just the logo. Is it busted?

It actually started working again I think it ran out of juice. I downloaded the most recent update from apple. Do I just keep it on my desk top. I thought it was going to give me a prompt to plug in my iPod but it never did. Does my ipod read it somehow?

Plug the iPod in the computer they way you usally do
If iTunes pops up on screen just Exit from it
wait about 5min (so your computer can give your iPod some juice)

download and install the iPod update
Start the update program

if you are running Microsoft Windows go to
Start>iPod> from the menu hover over the newest date > click on the iPod icon

Click RESTORE or UPDATE, when you see 'plug' picture on your ipod screen plug your ipod into the plug socket (just like normal)
Your iPod should start woking

If you are running Mac OS X:
Go to Macintosh Hardrive (or what ever you have named it)
Applications folder (the folder with the 'A' icon on it)
Utilities
iPod Software Updater
click on the newest date
click restore or update
wait until the program tells you what to do
