2nd Gen mini guys..do this please:

can you move your clickwheel side to side? like not even a millimeter. its really annoying me that mine seems loose, and not solid like how the minis that were the store demos were...even those were much more stuff then mine is. so can you move your clickwheel and the button in the middle slightly? or do they feel loose/cheap?
i just wish it was solid as the newer 20gig ipods....every one ive felt feels solid as a rock, unlike my mini.

(ive also exchanged my new mini twice, and im on my 3rd mini in 2 weeks, and theyve all felt loose/cheap...right out of the box

Well, my 1G mini is lose. My 4G 40 GB iPod is not. My mom's mini and my cousins 2G mini are all lose, it is normal. I think you are going to have a hard time finding a mini to meet your standards. As long as the click wheel is not falling off then it is OK.

mine is loose as I said but what I started noticing playing with it more is the scroll wheel moves and when it slides around it doesnt scroll like it should - Im trading in my shuffle in tomarrow for another mini for my g/f I might as well trade this one in for one and see if it isnt messed up too. im only 5 days into my 14 trial.

The scroll wheel on my 2G 6GB is tight, not much side to side movement at all. In fact, its seems kind of sluggish compared to my 1G mini. But it probably needs to be broken in. A-OK here.

My clickwheel seems okay - and now there's a screen protector over it to keep it nice and safe. Along with the iPod skin

I wouldn't worry about it too much - as long as the click wheel isn't obviously loose and still works fine. My click wheel is fairly sensitive
