I was getting really excited about buying a higher capacity battery for my 1G ipod mini since it doesn't hold any charge at all right now until I saw the above message. Does anyone know of anything like that happening with minis, or if it's a common problem at all? Also, I was going to buy mine off of ipodbatterydepot.com, does anyone know if that site's in any way reputable or if there are any popular ipod battery replacement sites to go through? Thanks in advance.

Well, quick followup. Bought a 750 mah battery for my mini off of ebay from some random store called infotronics and it works great, no problems with battery size or anything.

Ahh...., back again to Ilounge after a year.
So how's the new battery life?

I'm buying a second hand mini, probably first gen cause the guy said it's got 3-5hours playing time left(haven't seen it yet, but i'm buying it in person so no worries). I already ordered a 720mah battery on Amazon from "euruswings", should arrive around the 20th. Let's see how it holds up. My 5G is also plunging. Now it probably got 7h of juice left.

I wonder how the 2nd gen will do with that bigassss 720mah...30h?

Ipod mini battery life

At least one company (www.podrepair.com) will take your iPod mini and swap the harddrive with a CF-card. This will extend your battery life. But the same applies here: a 1G mini will never get the amount of hours you get with a 2G (due to the changes in the chips used).

Isn't this somewhat badly worded, just to point out? You -can- replace 1G Mini's battery with 2G one. Just won't make difference...
