This makes me curious...If the new iPods don't come with firewire or a power brick, how will you update them? Did they change it so they don't need to be plugged into firewire/a wall outlet after an update?

Every model includes the adapter except for the Mini. To charge it you would use a USB on windows, but I don't know what the Firewire's would do.

Falcon, does the 2.1 software on the disc show up as an iPod coming out of a box, and its description is Setup Launcher, Version 8.2.160.0?
