I have just purchased IPOD model M9282LLA I loaded all the software on to my PC when I go to import a song in ITUNES the song doesn't transfer onto the IPOD. The IPOD keeps saying do not disconnect. My friend had a IPOD and was using my computer I thought that this might be causing the problem so I deleted ITUNES and installed it again. When I installed it again all his songs were still in ITUNES. I have now deleted all the songs and I'm still having the problem of now songs being transfered onto the IPOD. According to the IPOD upgrader I have the latest software.
Please can someone help!! |

Restore your iPod, if you just got it then it is formated for Mac OS and you need to format it for Windows. Restore your iPod with the iPod updater software and that should do it.
What iPod do you have, out of curiousity. A 4G 20GB, 40GB, photo, mini?

I tried the restore when the songs are finished being imported and the CD is ejected still says on the IPOD do not disconnect and none of the songs have transfered. Anything else I can try?

I don't understand your new question. So, you rip your CD's and they are in your iTunes library. Then you plug in your iPod and it says "Do Not Disconnect" This is normal, all you have to do is drag and drop the songs from your iTunes libary to your iPod, then eject your iPod by either using iTunes or the windows hardware wizard.
If you want your songs to transfer automatically then you will need to enable auto-sync.

In itunes, drag the music over from the window where it is listed to the little ipod icon on the left side.
I think you are fogetting to transfer the files and you are just putting them into your itunes library.
