Question software problem - disk error?

hi,

I was going through the process of installing Media Center 9 and have run into a big problem. I was going to restore the Apple software on the iPod to clean it up - but now the installer will not run. Says something like "firmdisk error" and will not let me do anything. It will not put the software in the iPod!! The iPod now has no interface at all and does not work. What can I do to get it working again? Please help.

Hm....have you ever had connection problems before w/the iPod?

What I would do is download and install the latest firmware again from Apple.

Make sure you get the correct version:

1st & 2nd Gen iPods: 1.3
3rd Gen iPods: 2.0.1
