Hey everyone,
I have a iPod Mini. I wanted to charge my iPod by using my laptop and the USB/Firewire cord, but there is no sign that shows it is charging except for the Apple logo that turns on and off repeatly. Is it charging? Or is it malfunctioning? Please reply. Thanks. |

hi, my guess is that you are charging with the usb cable (there are two different ones) which only works if you have a powered usb port.
what happens when you charge it via wall adapter? |

Hi ginalee,
I'm sure that my powerbook has a powered usb port. It's a G4. I'm just curious to know if the flashing Apple logo means that the iPod mini is charging. It charges fine with the wall adapter via firewire. However, when I try to use the firewire cord to charge my iPod with my powerbook it does not work at all, so I have to use the usb/firewire cord to transfer my files to my iPod mini from my laptop. |
