My Ipod Won't Turn On!!!

I tried to turn my ipod on when I got home, and it won't turn on. When I plug it in to charge, it won't charge either. Please help.

Have you left it in the cold recently or done anything else unusual to it?
Does anything happen when you connect it to your computer?
Have you tried to reset it?

Don't get offended or anything, but first make sure your hold switch is turned off. Then try leaving it plugged into A/C for a couple of hours. If you still have no response, let your iPod sit for a week or so and let the battery drain in sleep mode, then try charging it again.

If none of this helps, I would contact Apple about the problem.

yeah this is happening to me too...a friend got one for christmas and left it at my house do stuff on it...well since were having a bad snowstorm i figured id start on it today and when i went to plug it into the wall or the computer, it told me to use ipod updater to update the system software. i did that and now after that it just stays off with no charging signal or anything.... the ipod is brand new and in fact i just took it out of the box a couple of minutes ago. i updated my ipod the other day fine without any problem so i doubt its something i wouldve done to it. if anyone else has any ideas so that i can start on this today it would be great..thanks...

yea the same thing happened to me. i bought a 1G off ebay that i jus got yesterdat and it was working fine. i went to erase the songs and put some other songs on and it wasnt working fine. i went to charge it then went away for a little while and when i went back to use it, it wouldnt turn on. i tried chargin it for a few hours but it doesnt even charge.
