transferring music from a windows-formatted ipod to a mac?

Okay, so here's the deal. I have a Windows-formatted iPod, and I want to transfer some music from it to the iTunes library of a Mac. I already read the tutorial on copying music from iPods, but I'm still stumped. I tried downloading Podrip for the Mac, but everytime I drag a file to "itunes library", it says there's conflict with the name of the iPod and the library, or something like that.

I suppose I could transfer the files to a folder instead, but for some reason, it won't transfer more than one file at a time. I read the tutorial, and it says that in order to transfer batch files, I have to hold the "cmd" button and highlight a group of files. What's the cmd button (it's not my mac)?

I can't even get the Podutil to install...even if I did, I have the same problem, because there's no option to take away all the checkmarks from the songs and to check certain groups of tunes.

So, could someone help me with any of the above, or point me to another Mac program that'll copy songs from a Windows-formatted ipod? thanks.

I think you can use SharePod, it runs directly off of your iPod. Mac comps reconize windows formatted iPods I am pretty sure. SharePod runs off you iPod so just plug in you iPod to the mac and it should Work I am pretty sure.

Sharepod is only for PCs. Any other ideas? Does anyone know what the cmd button that supposedly highlights many files at once in Podrip?

iPodRip works with Mac OS X 10.2 "Jaguar" and later, including Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther". iPodRip works with any iPod, whether it be a Mac OS X or Windows formatted.

I believe iPodRip is what you want. Just install iPodRip on your mac, plug in your iPod and it should work. ^ States that iPod Rip works with any type of formatted iPod.

I know it works...but my original post states what's wrong with it.

If someone could tell me how to mass-highlight songs (what is the CMD button on a Mac computer?), that's all that would help me out.
