iPod Colors

Just read about an interesting way of coloring your ipod. Has anyone tried this and, if so, what were the results like? Also, do you think Apple will ever make colored iPods so you can choose out of the box the color of your iPod? I know there are a zillion different skins available now, but surely Apple need to tap into the colored market to accommodate everyone's tastes and needs? Furthermore, make the iPod more scratch resistant -- give the body of the mp3 player some texture or something!

Some people on here have sent their iPods to certain companies online to get it coloured, you can get it in black and gold and they seem to be pretty happy with it.

I wonder if Apple will release different colors for the next generation iPod mini or even for the actual iPod? Have any rumors ever surfaced about this topic?

If an updated mini happens (which will come soon), it will probably either add colors or switch to a new color pallet.

For any ipod, apple wont create too many colors. The know customers want products fast and wouldn't want more than a week wait for the ipod to be built, then shipped. Don't expect a large array of colors like colorware offers.

That looks pretty cool. Frankly, I would never do anything like that because I quite like the white.

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple introduced an iPod with compatible coloured face plates. I don't think that hey will offer different colored iPod's though (with the exception of special editions).

I think anderal is probably right. They will keep the ipods white, with the exception of the special editions. Of course, this is assuming they will continue with them. As far as the mini's, I don't have a guess.
