Exclamation Add Previously Ripped Tracks to my ITunes Library

I just got my first Ipod and I have already experienced an issue that really disturbs me....

I already have all my cd's (approx 400) ripped to mp3 on a hard drive. Am I to believe that there is no way to have the library in itunes recognize these songs with out having to re-rip my entire collection of CDs via itunes?

TIA

File-->Add Folder to Library

BTW, this should probably be in one of the iTunes forums, not an iPod Problems forum

Sorry

Sorry for posting in the wrong place, but for a newbie, not being able to use thousands of your MP3s is a BIG problem!

Anyway, thanks for the help!
