Defective battery meter...

I just bought my ipod last week from circuit city so I can still return it in 30 days. Why I should return it is because I fully charged my ipod and I only used it for 3 hrs and the battery meter is practically dead is this normal?

As zero said, the battery meter is inaccurate. Read the FAQ's about the battery.

The battery meter is totally messed up on iPods. My 3G 20gig always went up and down.
