Question Does Ipod Run off of the AC When Fully Charged?

Apologies if this has been asked before, I could'nt find anything with the search function.

I was wondering when I use my 30gb Ipod through the power outlet when fully charged, does it run off of the battery or run off the AC?

I only ask because I had a nomad 3 (crap btw) and it could run off the ac with or without batteries.

Many Thanks,

Nick.

It's actually difficult to say. I'd assume it runs off the AC when connected to it, but I don't know anyone who has removed the battery to find out for certain. I do know that leaving it plugged in doesn't deplete the battery, damage the iPod, or shorten the battery "memory".

I'd imagine Apple thought of this when designing it and took whatever steps necessary to prolong the life of the battery.
