Well... it means exactly what it says. Does this happen to you every time, or is it only this once? If it's only this once, I would just restart the computer.

If I enda ll my tasks, mine will eject when this happens, or restart/shutdown. It happens to me every while.



I never thought that I would buy more music after my iPod.

If you hit CTRL-ALT-DELETE I bet you will either see a running process(es) under the name of iPodService.exe, or iTunesHelper.exe. Stopping these should solve the problem

I only get that message when iSync is updated my contacts and calenders on my ipod, but of course I'm on a mac

If you have some sort of file manager open, like powerdesk or something you will get this error. Shut off the program and then try eject the iPod.

If you have a crytographic virtual drive (for example, PGPDisk) opened on your iPod, it will give this error.

If you can't find the app that is keeping the filesystem mounted, shut down and power off your comp, then disconnect your iPod.

I too have had this. A common issue I am finding with the PC. I've just hit eject again after that happens and all is well.
