Well, I am a proud owner of a 15GB 3g iPod and I will be handing him down to my older brother so he can enjoy his music collection while he travels around Europe. He is going at the end of November...
So Novemer until Christmas, I have no iPod I am scared and sad, how will I live, well anyway, Parents have simply said, "We will buy you an iPod, you just tell us which one" So iPod 4G or iPod Photo..... Dunno which one to get.... Im 13 years old if that helps.... WHICH ONE DO I GET! |

I'd personally just get the 40/20GB iPod. Unless you *really* want a colour screen, and money is no problem

When I was 13 my parents bought me a sony walkman cassette player (WM10?) and I thought I was the richest kid in town. (1981)
If they actually said, "tell us which one" the pick the best one available.

My advice don't take advantage of your parents and if you like the color screen then go for the iPod photo 40gb.

I would tend to think that your brother needs that 15 hours of playback time in the trip to Europe more than you do, especially compare to a 1 year old 3G which I'd say probably can just run 5 - 6 hours max at optimal condition.

yea dont take advantage of your parents money
i would say get the 4g version because its a lot slimmer and compact than the photo but the only question is: do you really want a color screen? not many people look at their screens anymore... like me for instance... i have taught myself how to start up my on the go playlist without looking ![]() so its your preference |

I guess the most important question is....................
Do you own a digital camera? Seems an iPod Photo is a waste without one.

Go with the 4G 4gb, my reasons for choosing this is because; it's got a good reputation, and if you get the iPod photo you might get very angry when they release the iPod video or whatever(the one after the photo edition). Plus the iPod photo is just a big gimmick to get your money. :P

If you really want that color screen, and if your parents are going to spend money on a player with a color screen, don't go with the iPod photo, just because it is too expensive for what it does in my opinion. The Archos Gmini 400 is the same size, half the price and plays music, videos, displays pictures, and more. That way you can have the color screen and also have your parents have enough money left to get you other stuff.
