this should work

backup the iPod on your PC. Download the iPod updater software for Mac onto your Powerbook. Now do a restore on the iPod. Your iPod is now Mac formatted. Send your music back over using iTunes on your powerbook. If you don't have iTunes on your Powerbook, d/l it and install it first. I think you have to pick though. Your iPod can't work with your Powerbook AND your PC since the filesystems are different. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Congrats on getting the powerbook. I want an apple notebook or desktop, but can't afford the premium price they cost. It took me a year to save up for the 3rd gen 30 gig iPod that I got new from Apple for $400.

if your 4g iPod has been windows formatted it will still work with your pBook. you'll already have iTunes installed so you can use it straight away...!

final thing, and it's very important - make sure you turn of the auto sync on the pBook otherwise you'll wipe all the tunes on the iPod...

enjoy the powerbook
