Angry ANYONE GET THIS? One of the USB devices connected to this computer has malfunctioned-

One of the USB devices connected to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows can not recognize it.

I keep getting this message after my ipod has been working for the last three months since I got it. Has anyone else gotten THIS EXACT message before? I want to call Ipod support but I saw some place that they charge you for support?

I am about to throw this ####kin thing threw the Apple Store Window. DRIVING ME INSANE!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you using a firewire or USB?

ANd by restart do you mean your computer and Ipod? Cause I have done both.

Try unplugging all usb devises exept the ipod. If you have many power draining usb devises like a digital camera, there may be to much power being drained by other devises to allow the computer to recognize the iPod. This may help. Also does the computer recognize the iPod as an external hard drive in Device Manager, if so there is always the last resort of formatting.
