My Ipod needs to go back for a service due to a case defect, and i had to back up all my songs onto the computer at work. Once this was done i synced the two to ensure all was well, but when i came to play from the ipod the songs are in grey text and cant be selected???
The library on the computer is fine, its just the one on the ipod? Can anyone please help?? |

Welcome to the lounge. Connect it to the updater and select 'restore'. This will set the iPod back to it's factory settings.

Are you talking about the iPod songs listed in iTunes? If you have set iTunes to automatically keep the songs in sync between your PC and iPod the songs on the iPod are inaccesible and are grayed out (I guess becuase anything on your iPod would automatically be on your PC as the two are synced).
To access songs directly off your iPod you need to set the syncronization option to manual. To play the songs off your PC go to the Library in iTunes
