Question iPod on standby or off?

Hi,

I took my ipod on holidays with me a few weeks ago. It wasn't used for a few days and when I tried to turn it on it looked like it was resetting (apple logo etc). Does it switch off completely when left for longer periods instead of just standby, or is this normal behaviour?
It still worked perfectly after this.

Thanks.

I have the same problem with the clicker thinggy. I recall that left my iPod unused for more or less 24h...
And it seems that the iPod needs some extra time to recover from this "deep sleep".

Yes. Keep in mind, you are basically cold booting the iPod so it has to load the operating system off the disk.
