For some reason I keep getting on-the-go playlists popping up on my 'Pod. No, I didn't create them as I have a habit of sliding the hold button to the side when I'm not using it. Any reason these playlists would be creating themselves?

When you connect your iPod to iTunes, make sure that if you do not want to keep the on-the-go playlist, you delete them from in the source list window. The on-the-go playlist that are created on the iPod are saved when connected to iTunes, they are not automatically deleted. Like the unknownsoldier said, they get named & numbered until you change it.

The thing is, I don't create on the go playlists... ever. That's not the problem.

Are you talking about the on-the-go at the end of the menu section with your other playlist? When you go in there, are there songs in there and you didn't put them in there?

Nope. Multiple numbered on-the-go's. It's not iTunes that is the problem either. I thought it was at first aswell. Even so, why would iTunes automatically create the on-the-go playlists. Like I said, I have no need for them, so I don't make them in iTunes or otherwise.

yeah this happened on my ipod before I started using the on the go playlist, I wouldn't sync to my computer for like a week then I'd look at the ipod's on the go playlist and my entire library was put on there by itself.

That's exactly what's happening. Not one of those things that could be a mistake on my end. It would be like 10 or 20 albums in it.
