My Ipod is stuck on the "About" screen! Can't get out...

I'm stuck in the "About" screen! I can't get out when I press menu, but I can scroll up and down. I've tried pressing buttons and crap, but doesn't help. I can't access a computer with iTunes for a while (in a different country), but I'm thinking maybe if I add a song or something I can get out of that screen. If I need to, will Apple be able to fix this if I send it to them?

Reset your iPod by holding down the menu and select buttons for a few seconds.

But then wouldn't I lose all my songs? All my songs are in my computer in a different country, so it would be just as useless. If that's the only way, then I guess I have to do it then.
