4th Gen 40GIG iPod Box Contents

Hey,

Firstly, I hope this is in the right forum (I'm new).

Anyway, after finally commiting myself to getting a pod I did all the research...

And discovered that it would be cheaper in the log run if I got the 40 gig 4th gen.

I came yesterday, and wtf? - It doesnt come with the remote or the case, is that right? I though it was only the lowest model that didnt come with these?

For ??300 I feel a bit ripped off. I got it from amazon and they clearly state that in the box contents case and remote are included.

I have opened the box but I have not unwrapped anything else (in case I have to send it back) - What do you think I should do? I have email amazon telling them that they have not delieved everything that they promise on their page but as yet there is no reply.

Im in a predigiment, can anyone offer any advice. If I do send it back is there anywhere I can get the complete kit in 1 box for 300?

Shouldnt they issue me with a Case and Remote free of charge?

Yeah, you'd think they'd give you that stuff free since that's what it said. Those items used to come with the 3G 40GB iPods but not the 4G ones. Apple themselves made the same mistake on their site when the 4G's were first available. However, they did the right thing and if you ordered your iPod when the site said it included those things, they would include them for you anyway (at least if you called them and asked about it).

ha ha Amazon UK are ### i wrote review on the 20Gb 3G ipod saying don't buy this, and gave loads of info about 4G ipod to let the general public make an informed decision - they have put up my review!!
Also saw the mistake posted above about the accessories and sent them an email out of the goodness of my heart to try to prevent exactly this situation, it's been 4 days and they still haven't replied or changed it.
