I go to Best Buy about every week or two, and they never seem to have the minis. So, I get fed up and finally decide to ask someone, if they???ll ever get a shipment of minis in.
A Best Buy employee tells me, ???Due to the iPod minis being so popular, Best Buy can???t keep them on the shelves. So, Best Buy has decided only to sell iPod minis on the website.??? Is this true? Are there any Best Buy employees, who know this for a fact? Has anybody purchased an iPod mini in the past three weeks from a Best Buy store? I prefer Best Buy, because it???s very close by, and buying online is not an option for me. Only because of something breaking, I don???t want to have the hassle of sending it back, and I have no credit cards.

I was at bestbuy the other day and they got a new shipment of mini's in stock and the next day they were gone right off the shelves.

Best Buy's website has a "check store availibilty" option. So you can enter your zip code and find out if stores near you have any in stock. Maybe the person you talked to didn't know what he was talking about? It's easier to check online than go in the store to find out though.

The other day, there were a couple minis in stock at Best Buy. They didn't have any regular iPods though.

I just went today hoping to find the magazine with the 20% coupon in a nearby store (it had the wrong month though.... so I never got one. After checking the availability online and finding out it had blue available, I went to the store. Once I was there I saw a sign near the silver mini "other colors available online" meaning they don't even sell other colors in the store, but it said they were available. Just a warning to not trust what their website says. I wouldn't have bought it anyway without the 20% off coupon (I have an amazon order in that I'll get a $50 gift certificate for), but I don't know why it said it was in stock.

Thanks for all the replys. I didn't know about the store availability option on the Best Buy website. I'll need to check out the website everyday. So maybe I'll have a little hope getting a iPod mini.

AFAIK, BestBuy coupons are never good on Apple products.
