euPOD VolumeBoost for the Mac?

Hiya

Just moved from the PC world and picked up a G4 which I love ... only small problem I'm having with the iPod is that I need to boost the volume of my 40GB European iPod.

When I was using my PC is was easy thanks too "euPOD VolumeBoost" is there a app which will do the same thing on the Mac?

It would be great if its freeware

Here you go:

Looks like it's "donationware".

Could this be what your looking for? It removes the EU volume cap.
Search for GoPod. I cannot post a link because I am not allowed to.

Yeah I don't know about any Mac ver. of EUPod. But, lord help you if it's anything like the good 'ol EUPod for Windows! Depending on which iPod Gen. you have. You'd be better off trying to give GoPod a go. It has versions for *nix, Mac and 'doze PC's. Unlike EUPod (I would hope that the Mac version was more understanding with AAC), EUPod will not touch 'em for no Money on earth as it's main Engine is Mp3Gain to boot Files. Needless to say your AAC Files do not fit the Mp3 spec...

GoPod preaty much 'noops' the Region Code on the iPod. In you case I think it might be 'B/A' (you can see your Region Code by cheking the last Two Characters in your iPods' Model Nr. M9460*Region Code* i.e. M9460BA for a Birtish 15Gb 3G),.

Unlike EUPod (or it's Mac equivalent), there's no matence you apply it once after you install (i.e. Reformat), your iPod or run the Updater as the Region Code Check would still be enforced from the Getgo. Just get you PC / Mac to recognize the iPod as an external HDD and just run GoPod. That it...

A locked immage means that your currently Caped. An unlocked means the Cap was lifted! Now you can enjoy your iPod till you decide to either run an Update or more consiquently a Restore....

Not sure if this yet works on every iPod. Some People have reported that there newer iPod Photos did not work with it. Needless to say though I willing to wager this will not work on a Shuffle though. But, you owe it to yourself to give it a try.

As for where to get it?

Try Google and then see how lucky your are!!!

I use GoPOD an it works great. The problem I seem to have with volume booster and euPOD is that it appears to resync your whole iPod again when you go back into iTunes.
