I bought a HDD back in February, and finally manned up to replace the faulty drive of my iPod classic 7. I followed the tutorial on iFixit and everything went fine. The drive opens and when I ran the HDSmart in config mode, it showed perfect.
When I closed it, it needed charge so I left it charging for like 4 hours until the battery was full. It was stuck on disk mode with the do not disconnect message so I found it weird and restarted it (menu + select button). It went straight back into disk mode and my computer wasn't detecting it. I unplugged it and restarted it again, and it showed up this message:
"Connect to your computer. Use iTunes to restore."
I plugged it again to the computer, and it went back into disk mode again and the computer never detected it. Same old deal.
Any help?
