Certain songs skip on my recently bought iPod Classic 160GB

I recently bought a new ipod classic 160GB (black) from the Hong Kong apple store a week ago. I loaded my itunes music library of ~130GB of music, and everything was working fine....

HOWEVER just today I noticed some errors. Some songs, only certain songs when selected just skip on my ipod, they just don't play and go to the next song (for reference, the albums: D-Sides by Gorillaz and The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me by Brand new). I thought they were just maybe corrupted during copying as they play just fine on my itunes, so I deleted them and copied them again. No dice, so out of panic I restored my classic and imported all my files again, and the same songs in those 2 albums STILL didn't play....still perfectly fine 320kbps Mp3's on my itunes.

I eventually DID find a work around, and that was to convert them using itunes (the option to convert music when copying to the ipod), so I selected that option and imported those songs again as they converted to 256kbps AAC's and then they played just fine on my classic.

So I did find a solution, but It's still not a perfect solution as my already lossy 320 mp3 music gets down converted again resulting in quality loss. I just wanna know why does this happen (and too these certain songs only...) and if there is an actual solution for this...

Thanks for the help,
A worried new ipod user

There must be something wrong with the original files the iPod does not like. iTunes can be a little more tolerant with media files than the iPod can be and is able to play some the iPod can't. If converting the files is not an option you should try re-ripping them from the original CD.
