Hi,
Can anyone please confirm if the latest version of itunes 11.0.1 is compatible with an old 30gb Ipod as after download of new version the old Ipod does not seem to be recognised. New music can be downloaded into Itunes, I just cannot get it into the Ipod Thanks and regards |

iTunes is compatible with all old iPods. I have it syncing my 5G 60GB iPod now. You didn't specify what generation iPod you have (there were a series of 30GB iPods from 2003 to 2006) but I can already tell you the issue isn't with a new version of iTunes not recognizing your iPod but rather an underlying problem.

Thank you for responding, from what I can work out it is a 5th generation Ipod. I made a previous post prior to this. I have two users set on windows 7 for me and my wife. My newer Ipod classic is fine but her 5th generation Ipod will not download. When connected it brings up itunes but there is nothing to sync and if you go into systems and look to restart or do anything to try and change settings they are all greyed out.
But thanks again for your reply |
