Need Help Transferring mp3's to 160GB 7th Gen.

As stated I'm having problems getting my non-itunes mp3's to my new ipod.

What bothers me is that itunes takes all of the music on my computer and adds to my account.

The problem is that I have multiple music folders with lots of the same song in each folder.

I want to point it to just one folder which is currently what I listen to most, about 7000 songs.

I don't want to have to create a playlist for this as going through selecting one by one in a 25000 file collection would drive me insane.

I have gone through all the menu items i.e. preferences & advanced and can't find where I can point itunes to look for just the one folder.

A. it sucks they make you go through itunes and not allow to simply drag & drop from PC.

B. I hope some of you more savvy users can help with this.
