corrupt songs IPOD classic

Hey folks,

I have an ipod classic 160G that will not complete a sync because certain songs get hung up. I have gotten an error 59 and 60. I have done everything I can thing of ... ran the windows disc checks, restore, onboard diagnostics.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

If the songs are corrupt, you'll need to remove them from you iTunes library before sync.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did that and it does not help. I forgot to mention that this IPOD does the same thing on a PC I have a work. The problem appears to be with the ipod but I can't get rid of those corrupted files.

I just signed up today. I'm having around the same troubles as the fellow above me. I purchased this iPod Classic (Black / 160GB) almost a year ago. I honestly don't know how it came about. Every time I try to sync, it hangs up or it crashes all together. If it does sync and goes back and forth with hanging, it changes from the Syncing picture to the Do not discount with the iPod cable end on it. After it unfreezes (if it make it that far), it usually says it can not write files too this hard drive or these files were corrupt. I've tried different iPod cables, computers, restored it, formatted it, reset Did diagnostics, which I should show you guys. It seems as if it's not covered by the limited warranty either. It does make a ticking sound sometimes when it starts up or plays certain songs. I've done chkdsk, and other things as I've said above. Whenever I plug it in after manually ejecting or after errors, Windows wants to do the error check and I click both options, so it takes awhile and it says they put the bad files in a folder called Found or something. It seems to work a tiny bit better, but after awhile of syncing, it goes to crap again.

This stats might have changed, but these were recorded a couple days ago:
Reallocs:3648
Pending Sectors:144

I'm sorry if you think this should be in another post, but I wanted to get it off my chest before I blew up into pieces.
