How much could i sell/get for iPod Classic 160gb (old version)?

I have the old 160gb classic. i see on amazon they are selling for 180 http://www.amazon.com/Apple-classic-...9832169&sr=1-5

and best buy offers a trade in program and you can get an 83 dollar gift card. im wondering what do you guys recommend and what is reasonable. its been in an invisible shield since i bought it btw.

i am just curious. if this needs to be moved to market place then so be it. im just asking cause i don't know which is a better deal. and idk if anyone has done the bestbuy online trade in

Apple is also selling the refurbished 120GB iPod classic for $180 so you have to keep that in mind. You could likely get about $150 if it was still new and in the box but that isn't the case. The invisible shield doesn't stop the fact that your iPod is 3 years old. I would put it up on the Amazon Marketplace for $160 and see if anyone bites. I also suggest saying that you are a little flexible with the price. Someone will contact you and then let you know if they will buy it for a lower price.

I suggest going through the Amazon Marketplace as Amazon is a lot easier to deal with PayPal and eBay. They will actually refund your account if you experience a bad purchase and they protect buyers by making sure that the people purchasing the product actually have the money. If not, Amazon will give you the money that the sale would have been for. Amazon will take a little off the top but the whole experience is better than eBay and PayPal.

You have to click on the Your Account link in the upper right corner of the website. Then click on Sell Your Stuff on the right hand side. You will have to open a Marketplace account, this is free to do. They require your bank account number and its routing number as that is how you get paid. You sell an item and then it takes about 7-10 days for it to be deposited in your account. You will not get paid until you provide proof that you shipped the product.

I looked at the prices on Amazon.com and you might want to consider going down to $145-$150 if you want to sell it quickly. $160 was the lowest price for a used model and going a little bit lower would likely get it off of your hands a lot faster. That is what I did for my 5G 60GB iPod. I put it up there at the lowest price and it sat there for months. I then lowered the price by $20 and it sold the same day.

Yep, I knew that would happen. It is funny how big of a deal $20 is. It is something that you can eat if it means selling the iPod a lot sooner.
