I received my ipod today,Best day ever. I have taken GREAT care of it today, to the point of insanity. Everytime i set it down, it was on a cloth. I cannot think of one time it could have cratched. Unfortunately after syncing it, I look for scratches and there are 2 GIANT SCRATCHES!!!!!! One was cause by the dock, the other i can't imagine where. These aren't just regular scratched. It looks as if the entire layer of green is off. Is their anyway to get them out, or any way that they could be dulled out. Otherwise i will send it back and complain to death that they make somthing that scratches from their own product

well i used toothpaste on the LCD screen of my iPod and it worked pretty well, just be sure to use a good cloth because some cloths will leave scratches aswell... there are many many fourms about scratches... also try brasso it works on the back and on the front as well... if these two dont work then you can always order products online... i have never tried these but i hear that ice creame is better than iCleaner... Good luck let me know how this works out for you

lol just for your information it takes time using toothpaste or any cleaner... time and elbow grease... try again with small amounts of it at a time and apply pressure it may take 30 mins to an hour to see a big change... good luck

I got some scratches on 1 side of my ipod mini and have no idea how they got there also the apple logo on the back seems to get scratched very easily even though i have been taking great care of it! i try not to keep keys etc in the same pocket as my ipod i think that may have caused it

Well... you gotta do what you gotta do. Although, Brasso does seem to work wonders, I don't quite know exactly how it works, but trust me, it does. I've used it for other purposes of course. Yet, it was the same type of metal so I don't see what would make the iPod Mini different.

No scratches on my LCD yet (knock wood), but the belt clip fell off my belt on Friday and it took a tumble to the concrete sidewalk. My heart skipped a beat, and when I picked the mini up, it had a scuffed bottom seam. (Not really a corner, I suppose). I "shaved" off the rough edges with a file, and although it's no longer blue like the rest of my mini, it still isn't horrible. Now I'm just sore that the belt clip doesn't securely hold on a belt. Darnit.

when i get mine, im gonna wrap it in layers of silk at bubblewrap then gently slide it into a pouch of fur on the inside of my pants right in the groin area. My genitals should keep it nice and warm.
errr, i mean, ya, ill put it in one of them case thingies. ya, uhhh... |

it sucks to have to buy a case (which, in my opinion, most of them look rather hidious) to cover such a nicely designed device. i don't mean to hate on anyone with a case, but i guess it just takes away from the style aspect.
