Moving some mp3 audiobooks from music to audiobooks folder

Hello there. I got an iPod as a present, I don't want to get flamed here, but I have to say I absolutely hate the fact that you have to do everything through that freakin' iTunes software. It is so annoying that I can't just organize the content like it's a flash drive like pretty much every other player allows you to do. Ah, but I digress...

So I have some audiobooks in mp3 format and as I transfer to the iPod, iTunes automatically assumes it must be music. Well it's not. It's really not a real big issue, but I very much would like to take my audiobooks that are now organized as music and move them over to the audiobooks folder on my iPod. Is this possible?

Actually Apple has made this fairly easy in the latest version of iTunes. Select your audio books in the music section of iTunes, right click then choose Get Info. In the Options tab set Media Kind to AudioBook. You'll also want to set "Remember Playback position" and "Skip when shuffling" to Yes. This will make iTunes and the iPod bookmark your audiobook when you stop part way through to listen to music, and also prevent them from playing if you choose the shuffle music mode on the iPod or iTunes.
