Transfering songs from Itunes to jump drive

Can anyone tell me how to transfer songs from the itunes software to a jump drive? I made a playlist and tried to export it. It appears that only the data , not the songs were transfered. Any help wouild be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

from the itunes window just drag over the songs to a folder on your jump drive. You can't drag the playlist, but you can select all songs on the list and drag them. They will be copied over.
