How to Play GBA and PS games on your iPod touch from your iPod Touch EASY!!!

Ok everyone, I have gotten enough information off this website without having contributed anything, so here are some very, VERY easy steps on how you can play a handful of game boy advance games or playstation 1 games on your ipod touch.

Note: Your iPod touch must be jailbroken, and these were NOT original discoveries by me. All credit is given to the user ip0dt0uch on youtube.

Game Boy Advance:

1) Open your installer
2) Go to the install Tab
3) For ease, I click on All Packages
4) Scroll down until you see the program gpSPhone
5) Install that App
6) Click on the Sources tab, still in the installer.
7) Click Edit in the top right, then click add in the top left
8) Type in http://gbarepo.servegame.com
9) Hit the home button so that our ipod resets itself
10) Slide to unlock, and re-enter your installer
11) Click on the install tab inside the installer
12) Scroll down until you see a new sub-menu entitled GBA Roms
13) Enter GBA Roms and instill the file gba_bios
***** THE GBA GAMES WILL NOT WORK UNLESS THE PREVIOUS FILE IS INSTALLED*****
14) You can now go back to the GBA roms menu and download any games you want that are listed. Theres a pretty decent selection... so have fun

Playstation 1 Games:

If you followed the steps above for the gameboy advance, and understand what you're doing just do the exact same thing except start off at step 8

1) Open your installer
2) Go to the install Tab
3) For ease, I click on All Packages
4) Scroll down until you see the program psx4all
5) Install that App
6) Click on the Sources tab, still in the installer.
7) Click Edit in the top right, then click add in the top left
8) Type in http://psxrepo.servegame.com
9) Hit the home button so that our ipod resets itself
10) Slide to unlock, and re-enter your installer
11) Click on the install tab inside the installer
12) Scroll down until you see a new sub-menu entitled PSX ISOs
13) Enter PSX ISOs and instill the file scph1001
***** THE PSX GAMES WILL NOT WORK UNLESS THE PREVIOUS FILE IS INSTALLED*****
14) You can now go back to the PSX ISOs menu and download any games you want that are listed. Theres a pretty decent selection... so have fun

If anyone has any questions, post em in the thread, or send me a PM. I'll try to help you as best I can.

Emulation on the touch, what a horribly wretched idea.

at the moment i wouldnt call it practical, but it is definitely doable... if you were jammed on a 10 hr flight, and you just were dieing for something to do... I guess I would maybe pick up the touch and play gba or some ps games on my touch lol. But both of these emulators are still really early in the testing stages, and as you can imagine, using triggers is a hassle lol

Right now I mostly just go up to my brother with a zune and go can urs do this? lol

I imagine someday the controls will be a bit better... but the lag/gameplay is actually rather smooth which is kinda cool

im pretty sure both sources are still online and running, just try and delete the source and re-enter it. It shuld work. The day after I found out these sources I had to restore my ipod 4 times due to my own ignorance, and every time i added these sources they worked, for the exception of 2 times when, as you said, they didnt show up in the list. Just try and re-add them.

Also after you re-add them, try restarting your springboard

I'm having the same problem as many others here, I install the new source, and there is not a new folder appearing. I've restarted my springboard, checked the sources over, deleted and re-added the source, and still nothing. Does the server being down have something to do with the lack of a folder being made?

Sorry if I'm making this harder than normal. I don't see how I can manually add my own Roms, but doing it automatically makes me confused, lmao.

Basically if the source is down, when you add that source in your installer, it would like being to download from a blank white page. If you type your other sources in your web browser you will see a lot of code/jibberish (which is your program) or a .xml file. If you see those, you are in good shape. If not, you cant get the app atm.

Hey guys it's me, the person who runs these repo's

We really need a new server, the one we were on, well the repo used 200GB a day so it couldn't handle it..We need to raise money so we can get an offshore dedicated server, what will cost us around 250 a month, the adsense on the page helps us too =].

Please donate if you can, or if you know anyone who would be willing to support us, please spread the word etc, we just need funding for this month, and I guess adsense in the next months mixed with tiny bit of donations will help us keep the server alive.

If you visit the repo on you're browser, or Safari, you will be redirected to the new server page..We still getting a few thousand unique hits a day

Thank you, now I must go to all the other forums that happen to refer to my website..
