Is there a way to transfer cd's to my ipod with the album art? When I pop in a cd to transfer to my itunes library it does not transfer the album art and I do a search on amazon.

No, because the source of the track information (CDDB) does not contain album art at this point, so there is really nowhere to get it from.
If you have an iTunes Store account, then iTunes will attempt to retrieve the artwork from the iTunes Store automatically, but this only applies if the album is in the iTunes Store catalogue as well.

Adding album art is pretty much a manual process if you ripped your own CDs. I have found, by far the most consistent source of album scans is
http://rateyourmusic.com/ Followed by any others such as http://www.discogs.com/home or Amazon. |
