iPod mini cases and reviews

Now that we have our new iPod minis (or are getting them soon =P), we're going to need to protect them from environmental hazards.

Post links to cases and (especially) reviews for mini cases that you've seen!

I have mine, and it looks pretty robust. I'll probably just keep it case-free. Less of a hassle, and the aluminum casing doesn't scratch easily anyway.

The mini is going to be less prone to scratching than the regular iPod. The annodized AL is fairly hard. The weak link being the plastic screen. As long as I can remember to keep the keys and change out of the pocket my mini is in I'll be OK. 8)

The aluminum is pretty scratch-proof, so you're better off just getting a screen protector. It's less of a hassle, and your ipod looks the way it was intended to.

don't forget that a case will add some shock protection to your delightful toy.

i have already spilled oil on mine so i am definitely getting a protector.

Radtech's coming out with a mini sleeve/sock similar to their 3g iPod version, in March.
Not much on 411, just a pic.

love my case

I sprung for an impulse buy marware case and love the neoprene. I workout wiht it so sweaty slippage can happen, Don't really clip it much but hte case has a great clip.. it's just a solid cushioned and protected little suit. I'm pretty darnn happy to have it. I drop things. It's a problem. PRice was pretty reasonable as well, in comparison to most of the accessories anyway.

copysquirrel did you get the basic or the sleeve? the pictures on the marware site totally suck. do you have to pay for the clip extra? wtf? i like that there is a plug to cover the bottom port a lot, but preferably i want a case that will have a cover over the control wheel as well.

mmmmm neoprene

I got the sportsuit sleeve- but if I'd had the patience I might have waited for the sportsuit convertable... in any case I love it. Covers the whole thing save the earphone connection area... has reinforced plastic body, I drop things. And the clip is part of the construction. It's like a wetsuit. I feel a little "special" buying outfits for it, but otherwise it's fab. the wheel is totally covered... you just switch'r over to "hold" and it's all good.

2 Questions for all of you guys:
1. Has anyone actually bought/seen in person a DLO JamJacket? They look to be better than the Speck ones only because they have the screen cover. (I'm considering them 'cause they're cheaper than the Marware SportSuit convertible).

2. Has anyone seen in person any of the Marwares? They look nice but I don't want to spend $40 (incl. shipping) for a case that looks bad/isn't convenient. ( I hate covering controls, even with plastic, so if they did, please let me know.)

Thanking You,
Dragon

I have been patient and decided to wait for the Marware Convert to work out with, but I just noticed that Lajo has a new clear case for the minis posted on his site with a pic. Thought someone would like to know...
