Before I upgrade to the new 1.2.2 firmware, I'd like to have a copy of the old firmware just in case something happens. Can anyone email me iPod_13.1.2.ipsw and iPod_13.1.2.ipsw.signature ? dalhectar at gmail dot com

Hmm...don't think you want to upgrade to 1.2.2 -- that was the bad-out-of-the-box update. Maybe you're thinking of 1.2.3? (Or maybe not....I've got a 5.5G 80GB, and my updates are named along the lines of "iPod_25.1.2.3.ipsw" not "iPod_13"....is this a PC/Mac difference?)

If you're on a PC, download ipodwizard and save a copy of your own firmware before upgrading.

1.2.3 is the newest. i had 1.2.2 and 1.2.1 and all had issues for me. thanks to Dalhectar i got the 1.2 (or i guess 1.2.0) and it seems to work. ideally, though, i want to get back to an earlier 1.0 or 1.1 version. does anyone have this? also, using ipodwizard, i dont think that works anymore now that itunes makes you use it, does it?
PS the 13 and 25 designation shows that you are using a 5.5 gen.. 13 is for gen 5 and prior. |
