Battery not full after charge, but goes to full after use. Normal?

I have 3rd Gen. 20GB iPod. I've charged iPod using AC adapter over night. When I pulled it off the docking, iPod battery shows 3/4 full, 1/2 full, and sometimes 1/4 full. The charge goes back full after restart, or just using it for little while.

I've read before that this is normal. But My 3 co-workers iPod does not have this problem.

So, I'm left to think my iPod is not normal.

Anyone wanna make me feel better by telling me this is normal? =)

I have the same "problem". When I charge it, it is fully charged but says that is about 3/4 but once I listen to music for like 5 mins it shows fully charged. Nothing to worry about.

Is the battery meter inaccurate?

Yes. Users have reported that after fully charging the meter shows only half power. This usually normalizes after a few minutes of use. Also, with the meter on empty, you can get hours of playing time. The meter is thus no true indicator of battery power.

Yes it's normal.
