I just ordered the DLO Action Jacket before stumbling onto this site. After some careful review, it seems that iPods are prone to scratches as they are constantly inserted and removed from the Action Jacket.
I like the idea of the Action Jacket since I am pretty active... enjoy mountain biking and work-out at the gym often. So I was thinking of inserting my 40GB 3G iPod into the Speck skin first and then into the Action Jacket thereby avoiding the long-term consequences. I like the Speck since the bottom flips open for easy docking. Anyway, will this create a problem? First will the Speck fit into an Action Jacket? second, will heat disspate... I'm worried that the heat may build-up and not be able to escape the dual protective covers. TIA!

I use both a Jam Jacket and the Booq nappa case simultaneously and have had no problems at all. Of course, I remove both cases to charge the iPod since that is where the heat problems would show up if I didn't. I really like the extra protection that two cases give.
At one time, I used the Action Jacket and you should be careful when you remove it because the velcro straps can and will scratch your iPod and the screen. |
