Help! Lost Video Capability

Hello-
I was using iDump on an older computer with a very old version of Itunes.
After I was done I checked my Ipod (5.5, 80GB) and all my files (including movies, TV, and music videos) had been rearranged iand were now classified as music. I had used iDump on my computer and nothing of this sort had happened.
Worse still, my Ipod is now unable to play any video!
I looked though some recent files in the computer which I used and I found a .PREF file which I tried to load back into the Ipod through Windows Explorer but this had no effect.
I moved the Ipod to a computer with a up-to-date version of Itunes to see if it would somehow reset it but this didny work either.
Could someone please help as I really want my video capability back!
As far as I can tell, nothing has been deleted
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks.

The 5.5G Video, 2G Nano, and 2G Shuffle all REQUIRE iTunes 7 or above to operate. I recommend you install this, highlight your iPod from within the source panel in iTunes 7, click restore in the right pane..this will reset the software on your iPod.
