Hi--u might remember a little while back that I did a review for a matias armor case and I said it was the case for me....well, I gave into temptation today and bought a Belkin acrylic and brushed metal case in black---THE BEST FREAKING CASE I HAVE EVER HAD!!! (anyone looking to buy a matias armor case? lol)
Pros: Fits extremely well--I have a BSE on the front of my ipod and it still fits (and if there are any wet spots I can't see them because the front as you know, isn't see-through. I don't think it'll fit with a full BSE on. I took the clickwhell part of the BSE off my ipod because the clickwheel cover the case had was good enough, and it created wet spots when I would press the scroll wheel (when the BSE and the case's clickwheel cover touched) The back is VERY clear--it might get scratched later on, but I now believe what I've heard some people say which is that it doesn't even look like you have a case on when looking at the ipod's back Clickwheel cover built into case and doesn't make clickwheel less sensitive or anything (mentioned above) Earphone plug, hold switch and dock port are all cut out so you can access them And last, it's just a beautiful looking case Cons: Expensive!!!! I paid $40 The headphone hole could be larger--i can manage to fit my headphones into the hole with some gentle squishing so it's not a HUGE problem This hasn't happened yet but the clear parts of the case probably will get scratched--I'll let you know I don't have any third-party accessories like an iTrip or dock so I can't really give any help there but here are some pictures so hopefully they'll help (some of these are with flash and without--I took a whole set so I'm just going to post them all on Flickr. Enjoy! http://www.flickr.com/photos/9338854...7594487346675/ |

A few questions...because my eVo3 attracts too much lint and it bothers me...haha.
1) Does it attract lint at all? 2) My friend told me that it scratched the back of his iPod. Can this happen? 3) If you drop the iPod with this case on, will the case break, scratch, etc? 4) Can you dock with many accessories? |

Hi, in response to ur questions:
1) Dust doesnt stick to it like it would an eVo (I used to use one) but I mean if you leave anything around dust will settle on it so all I do is just brush it away, it's not a dust magnet, I keep it in my coat pocket and it's never come out a furball or anything. 2) The back fits pretty snugly around the ipod so I guess it's possible to scratch the back when you put it on--I don't think it'll scratch it while it's in the case because it's so snug it doesn't move around. The back of mine doesn't have any scracthes from what I can see. 3) I haven't dropped the ipod in the case yet and I'm not really gonna do it on purpose lol so I can't tell you if it'll break or scratch. 4) When I connect my ipod to my computer I just attach the usb cable to it I don't use a dock or any third party accessories with it so I wouldn't know if it is compatible. Maybe someone who has this case and a dock can help answer this. Hope this helps. |

I wish I did some more research because if I did see the pictures I would never buy the case.
Like you said $40 and no belt clip !!!! and to me in real life it looks cheap. The front cover is made of the plastic like the rear cover, the metal piece is bonded to the plastic and has holes to the click wheel and display. I suspect the display which is only protected by plastic will scratch very easy. |

It all depends on what you want in a case, I didn't want a belt clip, and I like how it looks on my ipod--not cheap--looking at all. |

If it does not scratch over the display it will be okay, but being made of the same plastic as the rear housing I think it will scratch.
I should of done more research it is just I expected a higher price case would have a belt clip and I heard not one negative review for lacking a belt clip. I need the belt clip in the summer when it is too hot for a jacket. In the winter, spring and fall my jacket pocket is okay but in the summer I do not have many shirts with front pockets and I would not advise anybody to put a iPod in your pants pockets. Too much stress on the harddrive when walking, clipped to your belt the iPod is relatively stable and too big for my pants pockets. $40 and no option for a belt clip !!! What do people do carry the iPod? |

^ I see your point--but I think if you're looking for a hard case that won't scratch I think something like an Agent 18 is something you might want to look at because it's frosted so it won't show any marks. I think pretty much any perfectly clear hard case will eventually show scratches I really can't think of anything that will prevent this.
As for the belt clip....when I'm not wearing a jacket I keep it in my purse (If you're a guy I guess that's not an option for you) but again the Agent 18 has a belt clip now so maybe you could try it if you want--it's just a thought. |

If only Belkin offered the brushed metal case for the iPod Photo.
I'd buy it in a heartbeat.I have a question though. Has anyone tried using this case with an InvisibleSHIELD on their iPod? Will it fit correctly? My current assumption is that it would not since most hard cases don't work with the InvisibleSHIELD, but I'd still like someone to confirm to me whether or not it will fit.

^ I have a BSE on the FRONT of my ipod and it works--I'm not sure how much a BSE and the invisibleSHIELD differ in terms of thickness so I can't say for sure if it will fit.
