Red face Click wheel not working . . . . .

I have a 20GB iPod, put out by "hp". I'm guessing 4th gen. It's worked fine, and now all of a sudden, the click wheel will not work. All buttons work, but it won't scroll through the menu items. I've already tried a restore, is there anything else I can try?

Noone had this problem?

Everything works on it except the click wheel. Is there a market for these if they're broke?

You can check EBay, there's always clickwheels available on there. It's a common problem.

Don't buy any new hardware!

I had the same problem with my ipod. All you need to do is turn the hold switch on, then off again and it should start working again. I have to do this to mine almost every time I pick it up, but then it works fine. Hope this helps.
