too much music for my ipod

Hi all,
I have a 4gen 40gig ipod and i have way more music saved in itunes.
i don't really want all the music from itunes on my ipod (just backed up on my computer)
is there a way that i can just put certain songs/albums on and change them over when i want.
any info would be great.
thanks

Manual Sync Mode will let you do what you want. You can enable it in Preferences. It's very much like drag-and-drop, but through the iTunes interface.

Connect the iPod and look in the Settings tab that pops up. (I think you have to scroll down -- it's a checkbox)

I must've been thinking of iTunes 6 when I made my previous post.

You can make a Playlist Called "iPod Music" or something and tell itunes to only sync from that playlist

Sync selected playlists is a highly recommended way of managing an iPod with a large library. I think it's less of a pain than manual and also allows for playcounts, etc, to come back to iTunes.
