Red face Docking Station S-Video Out PROBLEM

hey all,

i just bought this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1

for my ipod. I got it in the mail today and was excited to open it up and plug it in to my tv so i could watch my movies on it. I dug up an S-Video cable and plugged it all up the way it said to in the directions (i'm pretty sure i did it right). i checked all 4 of the TV VIDEO channels on my tv with no luck. then, I thought that maybe it would come up on channel 3 or 4 like the old school VCRs. I tried that, but didnt have any luck. Im not sure what i should do or what i did wrong. here are what the directions said:

Convenient S-Video Out port for use with external video devices such as TV etc. Simply connect an S-Video cable (not included) to your tv and set your receiving device to the appropriate input mode and set your iPod to play mode for the video file desired to be played. Note: Although tit is not necessary t ohave the AC adapter connected to the power source to use this function, results may vary with and without the AC adaptor plugged in.

After reading that about 100 times, i tried everything i had tried before (all the video channels, plus channel 3 and 4) with the AC adaptor plugged in and without it. Still no luck..

so heres my question..what do i do now? is there an obvious mistake that i made without knowing it?

help would be much appreciated.

Have you consulted the manual for your TV to make sure it is set up correctly?
