Black screen when turning on

I notice that SOMETIMES when turning my iPod on after shutting it off/arming hold I get a black screen, the white Apple and then it resets. I'm not sure why this happens. It happens more often when I have left it off for a few hours or overnight. Not always though. I don't think it's a deep sleep issue since I never go more than a day or two without using the iPod.

What could be wrong? Software glitch?

Two will do it. I guess it deep sleeps after 36 hours. Mine did that today, after more than 36 hours, and once before. I think it is a deep sleep issue.

This is normal iPod behaviour. As ScottChapin said, it's to do with the iPod going into 'deep sleep' mode.
