iPod won't connect to iTunes

I've been enjoying my new iPod for the last 4 months, and yesterday when I connected it, the iPod just said "Don't Disconnect", but nothing happens on my computer, iTunes doesn't pop up, and if I open it manually, it can't see the iPod.

I've reinstalled iTunes, restarted th iPod, and nothing helps. Is there someone who knows how to get it to work again?

Is the iPod showing up in Windows Explorer? Do you have it set to disk mode?
